A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Qu Liang sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Eric Petersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 played minutes, Söderbröder's Gorm Anders shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Söderbröder reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Söderbröder's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Axel Nyman came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gláuber Bertassi's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. Gláuber Bertassi hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Söderbröder were furious when Gorm Anders was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 35th minute, one of Söderbröder:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Söderbröder. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute of play forced Söderbröder's goalkeeper Karl-Axel Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agapito Cabanela, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. The corner led Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert to fire away a dangerous shot which Karl-Axel Nyman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Venegas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Karl-Axel Nyman 52 minutes into the match. A collision led to Söderbröder getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gláuber Bertassi hit a great ball. Qu Liang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gláuber Bertassi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Karl-Axel Nyman. Karl-Axel Nyman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 79 minutes into the match, Söderbröder's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Karl-Axel Nyman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Venezuela's Patricio Costa in the 85th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Karl-Axel Nyman was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Söderbröder through an amazing save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Söderbröder fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl-Axel Nyman having to make a save. Karl-Axel Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 93rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qu Liang, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The Söderbröder supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Venezuela's performance. The match ended with a win for Venezuela.
