Mané Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honduras's attentive Esteban Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Yves Joanes made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mané Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Darren Verlet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Xacintu Magadan struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maraponga FAC. Xacintu Magadan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Maraponga FAC's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Andrade came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jimmy Lind could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Jimmy Lind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Honduras booed when Maraponga FAC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xacintu Magadan to make the kick off. Maraponga FAC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xacintu Magadan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darren Verlet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Maraponga FAC's Xacintu Magadan. But to his dismay, Xacintu Magadan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 87th minute, Esteban Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Maraponga FAC's Jimmy Lind broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Mané Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. In the 96th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Verlet in the 96th minute of play.
