Wit Zapolski might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wit Zapolski ran back to his position shaking his head. Zisis Vourlis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Zisis Vourlis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Daniel Zorita got free in front of the goal in the 14th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Zisis Vourlis was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zisis Vourlis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valer Trifu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Wit Zapolski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Zisis Vourlis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zisis Vourlis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wit Zapolski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Wit Zapolski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Camilo Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Πυργετός Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wit Zapolski to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wit Zapolski in the 54th minute of the match. Vaggelis Sofianos charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vaggelis Sofianos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Πυργετός Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaggelis Sofianos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's Wit Zapolski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Πυργετός Fc's goalkeeper Zisis Vourlis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 72nd minute, Valer Trifu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Πυργετός Fc's Wit Zapolski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 78th play minute Daniel Zorita came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zisis Vourlis. 1-1. Πυργετός Fc's Zisis Vourlis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Πυργετός Fc from getting a goal against them. Wit Zapolski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Πυργετός Fc's Wit Zapolski got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zisis Vourlis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 94th minute. When Πυργετός Fc's Wit Zapolski in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
