Cassius Byrne started the match with the kick off. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Basso in the 9th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 18th minute of the match. Henry Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. In the 26th minute of the match, Henry Costa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marco Day was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henry Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Capibaribe Stars's zone, Edward Mcdonald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomás Toscano came out of the goal and Edward Mcdonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Capibaribe Stars made a substitution. Robinho Urbano replaced Nike 武磊. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, USA's Edward Mcdonald dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Thomás Toscano made a huge save. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 80th minute of the match. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 81st minute of play. Mihnea Zamfir hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Mihnea Zamfir hit a great ball. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Henry Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Costa in the 89th minute of the match. If Henry Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sam Campbell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thomás Toscano came out and tried to block the shot, but Sam Campbell slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, USA's Fabian Brown got a free kick in the 95th minute. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Urbano in the 97th minute of play. USA played a much better game than Capibaribe Stars and deserved their victory. The Capibaribe Stars players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
