In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube do Remo MZ's goalkeeper Wachirapong Wattanachinda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wachirapong Wattanachinda was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Axel Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The attack was good, but when Abram Sarmiento in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Sandoval in the 70th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube do Remo MZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kevin Mastache was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 92 minutes into the game, when Daniel Namasivayam put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Clube do Remo MZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colombia:s goal. Kevin Mastache walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Mastache in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wachirapong Wattanachinda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wachirapong Wattanachinda was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ignacio Mastache showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 97 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
