Prodan Bogdantzaliev hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Xavier Zoido got a free kick in the 21st minute. Boyan Parlapanski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyan Parlapanski in the 29th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Paraguay booed when PFK Beroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prodan Bogdantzaliev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diyan Kúrdzhiev. PFK Beroe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Prats during the 39th minute. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velichko Myankov, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diyan Kúrdzhiev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, PFK Beroe could leave the field as winners, despite Paraguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
