In the 12th minute Manwë Vala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manwë Vala got free with Rolando Noboa in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute of the match, William Rigg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The throw-in from Marian Otopeanu in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Aulë Vala tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play forced The Valar's goalkeeper Emmanuel Canturri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Alfred Hajto in the 28th minute really tested Rolando Noboa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Rigg in the 29th minute of the match. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emmanuel Canturri having to interfere. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Rigg in the 33rd minute of play. Emmanuel Canturri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play. When Julian Murillo fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Julian Murillo a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Julian Murillo. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Emmanuel Canturri made a huge save. When The Valar's Manwë Vala in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. In the 57th minute of the match, Julian Murillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emmanuel Canturri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 60 minutes in the game Marian Otopeanu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cristian Ozon. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Constantin Hrebenciuc with Aulë Vala as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by The Valar's William Rigg. But to his dismay, William Rigg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Ulmo Vala with Marian Otopeanu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 76th minute of the game Marian Otopeanu made a throw-in which Elias Mambru played forward. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Aulë Vala made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Constantin Hrebenciuc immediately put the ball in play. William Rigg struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Valar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Valar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
