Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute. With an all-out effort, BVB 09's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maxim Sfetcu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zygmunt Koprowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maxim Sfetcu in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxim Sfetcu in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 19th minute of play forced BVB 09's goalkeeper Zygmunt Koprowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxim Sfetcu in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Bîndean in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute of the match BVB 09 got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Codrin Ieremia ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on BVB 09's corner Codrin Ieremia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Francisc Bîndean sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Iurea in the 31st minute of play. BVB 09's Iacob Vernescu got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Aurelian Jucan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Sfetcu in the 46th minute of play. Zygmunt Koprowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in BVB 09's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zygmunt Koprowski came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxim Sfetcu in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Zygmunt Koprowski made a huge save. After a rather tough play, BVB 09's Avram Iurea got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Zygmunt Koprowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Maxim Sfetcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Maxim Sfetcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BVB 09's Matei Chelaru was substituted for Francisc Bîndean. BVB 09's Octavian Caragea was substituted for Iacob Vernescu. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Chelaru in the 74th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maxim Sfetcu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 78thth minute of the game Maxim Sfetcu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Maxim Sfetcu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Aurelian Jucan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86thth minute of the game Maxim Sfetcu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zygmunt Koprowski having to interfere. In the 89th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zygmunt Koprowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, BVB 09's Maxim Sfetcu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Zygmunt Koprowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. BVB 09 were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
