Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Suriani hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ASD Real Molinella 1911's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfredo Bergomi quite easily take care of the ball. When Cristian Sancho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 10 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alfredo Bergomi was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Bergomi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, ASD Real Molinella 1911's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Alfredo Bergomi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Bergomi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, ASD Real Molinella 1911's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Alfredo Bergomi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Bergomi. ASD Real Molinella 1911's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 31st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute of the match ASD Real Molinella 1911 got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Flavio Chizzo ran over to the corner to take the kick. ASD Real Molinella 1911's Flavio Chizzo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 38 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ASD Real Molinella 1911's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ASD Real Molinella 1911's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ASD Real Molinella 1911's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the ASD Real Molinella 1911 defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Bergomi. The ASD Real Molinella 1911 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Bergomi should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermanno Clemente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 55 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of ASD Real Molinella 1911's Alfredo Bergomi. Alfredo Bergomi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alfredo Bergomi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ASD Real Molinella 1911 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Chizzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ASD Real Molinella 1911's Alfredo Bergomi got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 minutes of play, ASD Real Molinella 1911's Ermanno Clemente made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. ASD Real Molinella 1911's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Alfredo Bergomi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alfredo Bergomi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Alfredo Bergomi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alfredo Bergomi made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Bergomi. The goal made the score 1-6. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Bergomi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beppe Vianello during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ASD Real Molinella 1911 getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Beppe Vianello hit a great ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ASD Real Molinella 1911 throughout the match.
