After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Neil Mcinnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Neil Mcinnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erivaldo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of the match. Erivaldo Catarinense came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Peru got a corner. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peru's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Neil Mcinnes 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After having played for 26 minutes, Neil Mcinnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neil Mcinnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alonso Berganza made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Dinei Tinoco. Moises Gayoso hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Erivaldo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of the match. Julian Murillo scored 1-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erivaldo Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 43 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Dinei Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Erivaldo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The throw-in from Alonso Berganza in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Seçkin Ünlüol. In the 57th minute of the match SANTOS FC- FDFDF got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Seçkin Ünlüol ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Peru's goalie and right to Edvaldo Motta. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Peru's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. Erivaldo Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Erivaldo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Erivaldo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 75th minute of play. Neil Mcinnes struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SANTOS FC- FDFDF. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Erivaldo Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 85th minute. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's Erivaldo Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save SANTOS FC- FDFDF from getting a goal against them. Erivaldo Catarinense was a little too slow when Rafael Gallo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Neil Mcinnes in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
