With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Żuberia United's Genco İsrafil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Walery Kolano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute of the match Kazimierz Kalak shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 47th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walery Kolano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walery Kolano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Felix Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Felix Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Walery Kolano made a huge save. Walery Kolano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 64th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkadiusz Milik, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play forced Żuberia United's goalkeeper Walery Kolano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Żuberia United's goalkeeper Walery Kolano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Saelices. 75 minutes into the game, Żuberia United's Genco İsrafil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Żuberia United's Artur Tusk was substituted for Roland Maciejewski. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Żuberia United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Nakonieczny didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Walery Kolano could save by the left post. In the 90th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walery Kolano. Walery Kolano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walery Kolano having to interfere. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Żuberia United throughout the match.
