Caricancha were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zheng Chao Bing took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Victor Giraldo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 29th minute, Joel Artaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Astor Senio sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco van Nistelrooij's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 53 minutes in the game, Marco van Nistelrooij dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Zheng Chao Bing came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Marco van Nistelrooij left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caricancha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 65 minutes of play, Caricancha's Zheng Chao Bing made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Caricancha booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amado Gamus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Caricancha's Amado Gamus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Caricancha from getting a goal against them. Joel Artaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco van Nistelrooij scored 4-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
