Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The corner led to Peru's Emmanuel Reyes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludomil Topolski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute of the match, Luz Tejedor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lei Zhen De saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 74 minutes into the match, Mosjö Sportklubb's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Lei Zhen De reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mosjö Sportklubb made a substitution. Arnold Mühren replaced Robert Bergman. Lei Zhen De had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Eliseo Mina's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Mosjö Sportklubb's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 95th minute Arnold Mühren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Ludomil Topolski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
