Lưu Thuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomasz Bugajski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes, Nguyễn Chi made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Broniec's Fryderyk Tusk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Nguyễn Nga came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Sài Gòn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Nga couldn't finish the play. Broniec's Fryderyk Tusk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Chi in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Broniec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliusz Walkowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Vũ Tấn Dũng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fryderyk Tusk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fryderyk Tusk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Sài Gòn walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
