But to his dismay, Gustavo Aznar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bert Labonté showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Aznar, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Bert Labonté didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Aznar went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Golden Dragon FC booed when Coquitlam F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nazaire Sprague didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bert Labonté came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Dragon FC's Desiderio Etor. But to his dismay, Desiderio Etor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 30 minutes into the match, Coquitlam F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Celso Rayman came free, but Bert Labonté reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Hubbard hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match Desiderio Etor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bert Labonté skillfully saved the ball. Coquitlam F.C.'s Bert Labonté played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Perrando in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Leonardo Alfonso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Dragon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Coquitlam F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisito Perrando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 42nd minute, Leonides Horado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Rayman in the 43rd minute of play forced Coquitlam F.C.'s goalkeeper Bert Labonté to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes of play Coquitlam F.C.'s Nazaire Sprague was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nazaire Sprague hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Desiderio Etor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bert Labonté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandy Crowe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Coquitlam F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Desiderio Etor scored to the left of an out of position Bert Labonté, making the score, 0-7. A sloppy throw-in by Leonides Horado in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Coquitlam F.C.'s Bradley Gay. In the 67th minute Celso Rayman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bert Labonté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 minutes, Desiderio Etor made it 0-10 with a short kick to the right side. Coquitlam F.C.'s Bert Labonté tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustavo Aznar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bert Labonté read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Bert Labonté was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Gustavo Aznar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gustavo Aznar really showed his touch with that goal: 0-14. When the match was over Golden Dragon FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coquitlam F.C. throughout the match.
