Luiz Paulo Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Luís Paulo Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Brejo dos Santos getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Róbson Alvarenga hit a great ball. Carlos Fernando Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cenap Dengiz in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Mücahit Uğursal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Luís Paulo Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şahin Gagauz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cenap Dengiz in the 23rd minute of play forced Brejo dos Santos's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Luís Paulo Toledo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Şahin Gagauz, passed just outside the right post. Mehmet Emre Bakkalbaşıoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Brejo dos Santos's Dudu Tróia got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute Mücahit Uğursal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Brejo dos Santos's Luiz Paulo Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şahin Gagauz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Brejo dos Santos booed when Göldere FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Battal Gazi Alatay didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Paulo Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Carlos Fernando Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mücahit Uğursal in the 57th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Brejo dos Santos's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cenap Dengiz. The supporters of Göldere FK booed when Brejo dos Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Mücahit Uğursal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Göldere FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mücahit Uğursal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Paulo Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Şahin Gagauz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Brejo dos Santos's Róbson Alvarenga got a free kick in the 71st minute. Carlos Fernando Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mücahit Uğursal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Brejo dos Santos's Luís Paulo Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Şahin Gagauz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Luiz Paulo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Mücahit Uğursal put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Fernando Salles. When Duarte Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brejo dos Santos's protests and gave Duarte Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brejo dos Santos getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Duarte Jacinto hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Göldere FK's Carlos Fernando Salles threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mücahit Uğursal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The nice shot from Cenap Dengiz in the 90thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Carlos Fernando Salles had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Cenap Dengiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Carlos Fernando Salles made a huge save. With a little luck, Brejo dos Santos's Carlos Fernando Salles got control of the ball when Cenap Dengiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute Mücahit Uğursal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
