In the 10th match minute, Oceania Rumia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lech Tamulewicz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oceania Rumia's Karol Ochylski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Iwo Sawicki in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
