Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Garth Brough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Brough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ellis Hoskin might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ellis Hoskin ran back to his position shaking his head. Garth Broughs short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 12th minute of play. Garth Brough's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 22 minutes into the game, Garth Brough recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Garth Brough showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Garth Brough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 2-0. Joaquin Gayoso was a little too slow when Garth Brough got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 3-0. Australian Youth Academy's Rufus Roach managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jorge Sainz in the 36 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Brough in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Garth Brough tried to sneak it across the goal line. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Franco in the 41st minute of play. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garth Brough stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Sainz got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Camilo Franco. Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 77th minute of play. Rufus Roach kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Garth Brough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 94th minute of the match.
