The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Carracedo got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hong Qing came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Colombia's Abram Sarmiento in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hong Qing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 played minutes Club Atlético Lea Papá got a freekick which was hit by Alvar Ponce. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hong Qing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Hong Qing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Marinelli in the 34th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. At last the ball reached Pascual Carballar at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Club Atlético Lea Papá. 1-2. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Donose's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Club Atlético Lea Papá's Honorio Endira was substituted for Gao Chuan. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Michal Jehlička scored 2-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Marcelo Carracedo sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascual Carballar got free with Hong Qing in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hong Qing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Samuel Navarro got a free kick in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Donose in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Anton Donose took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Marcelo Carracedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Abram Secada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Donose in the 87th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Navarro. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Michal Jehlička got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Carracedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Eduardo Coudet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Club Atlético Lea Papá players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
