Amerigo Vida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as USD Marosticense's Iñigo Pedrosa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Göksun Uçanay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. USD Marosticense were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Göksun Uçanay took the corner. Primitivo Andino tried in the 15th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Julio Vera a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute of the match, Iñigo Pedrosa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Göksun Uçanay was slow to take the kick. During this time USD Marosticense's players had a chance to rest. In the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iñigo Pedrosa in the 24th minute of play. Amerigo Vida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Nic Zaniolo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. USD Marosticense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After a rather tough play, USD Marosticense's Nic Zaniolo got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amerigo Vida was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ennio Cassone during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st minute, Ennio Cassone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho scored 2-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amerigo Vida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iñigo Pedrosa made a kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Iñigo Pedrosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USD Marosticense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iñigo Pedrosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind USD Marosticense's goalkeeper Amerigo Vida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, USD Marosticense's Amerigo Vida got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute Iñigo Pedrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Göksun Uçanay who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Göksun Uçanay almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when USD Marosticense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nic Zaniolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Amerigo Vida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Taniel Valter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of USD Marosticense's Amerigo Vida. Amerigo Vida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Matro in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, USD Marosticense's Taniel Valter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Iñigo Pedrosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. If Maximiliano Matro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, USD Marosticense's Nic Zaniolo got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because USD Marosticense had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
