After 10 minutes, Mihăiţă Opriș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monks in Robes and the USA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mihăiţă Opriș hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zach Harrison in the 14th minute of play forced Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Kristen Gulskov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristen Gulskov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 43rd minute of the match. The corner led USA's Cassius Byrne to fire away a dangerous shot which Kristen Gulskov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fidel Havier kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
