Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Gaona kicked off to start the match. After 5 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tristan Uschok who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Blau Weiß Sauerland's corner Tristan Uschok fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Uwe Kuhni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uwe Kuhni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe Kuhni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uwe Kuhni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 21st minute of play forced Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalkeeper Uwe Kuhni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 31st minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Pingel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Pingel in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Willi Reutter made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Uwe Kuhni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willi Reutter might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willi Reutter ran back to his position shaking his head. 53 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uwe Kuhni. Blau Weiß Sauerland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Pingel, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Bongartz in the 60th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blau Weiß Sauerland were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tristan Uschok took the corner. The corner ended in Tristan Uschok almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Uwe Kuhni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Alessio Bongartz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Uwe Kuhni made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Uwe Kuhni threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Blau Weiß Sauerland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Facundo Cadaval was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uwe Kuhni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Uwe Kuhni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Pingel, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Uwe Kuhni made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Blau Weiß Sauerland from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Blau Weiß Sauerland throughout the match.
