Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Cordera Nunez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordera Nunez in the 39th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cordera Nunez got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cordera Nunez. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cordera Nunez in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cordera Nunez came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1.CSKA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
