The audience thought a goal was coming when Arcan Çapan got free with Julio Vera in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto de Almeida despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With an all-out effort, FCF north's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Xie Yan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xie Yan in the 20th minute of the match. FCF north's Fausto de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto de Almeida despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Arcan Çapan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, FCF north's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Fausto de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FCF north's Fausto de Almeida. Fausto de Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ecuador's Felix Montenegro in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FCF north's goalie prevented a goal. Fausto de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Fausto de Almeida. FCF north's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Arcan Çapan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto de Almeida having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arcan Çapan in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute, Nick Schipmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fausto de Almeida. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fausto de Almeida could save by the left post. 74 minutes into the match, FCF north's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Fausto de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fausto de Almeida firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 83 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Edgar Baan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arne Wijk's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arne Wijk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Arne Wijk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto de Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FCF north was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wojciech Pasterski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FCF north.
