In the 17th minute of the match, Adolfo Batista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Manzanares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Adolfo Batista sent off a good shot on target. Adolfo Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. When Cristian Eneas fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cañada Juniors's protests and gave Cristian Eneas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cañada Juniors getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cristian Eneas hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Adolfo Batista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Batista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 47 minutes into the game, Adolfo Batista lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Pedro Manzanares. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adolfo Batista was the one to do the kick off. After 59 minutes Cañada Juniors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. Nemesio Cesaro tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Jonatan Bortzaioriz. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-2 in the 59th minute. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Abram Sarmiento put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jonatan Bortzaioriz. Jonatan Bortzaioriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 65th minute of the match. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. In the 71st play minute Abram Secada came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonatan Bortzaioriz. 2-4. Kevin Mastache might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Bortzaioriz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Mastache ran back to his position shaking his head. Abram Secada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jonatan Bortzaioriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cañada Juniors made a substitution. Sebastian Jaunzuria replaced Abayhan Nedret. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santino Seco in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonatan Bortzaioriz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonatan Bortzaioriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 82nd minute of play. After 86 played minutes Cañada Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Cesaro. Abram Secada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Jonatan Bortzaioriz made a huge save.
