The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Corrado Spitaleri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Mian came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee showed Santino Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Alberto Scutti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borgo Doria F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Scutti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Alberto Scutti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Alberto Scutti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Scutti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Pedro Manzanares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Ercole Mian took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. When Fabio Bottone came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Borgo Doria F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Bottone couldn't finish the play. Borgo Doria F.C.'s Corrado Spitaleri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 19th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 22nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. 30 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Corrado Spitaleri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rdth minute of the game Axel Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borgo Doria F.C.'s Corrado Spitaleri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 33 minutes, Axel Montenegro made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Borgo Doria F.C.'s Corrado Spitaleri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Corrado Spitaleri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 36th minute of the match. Corrado Spitaleri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 39th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ercole Mian showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 40 minute of play. A collision led to Borgo Doria F.C. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ercole Mian hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 51st minute of play forced Borgo Doria F.C.'s goalkeeper Corrado Spitaleri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Borgo Doria F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Luis Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Corrado Spitaleri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Fabio Bottone put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Corrado Spitaleri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 65th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulvio Franco's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Colombia booed when Borgo Doria F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Trabucco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. The supporters of Colombia booed when Borgo Doria F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Trabucco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Scutti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. In the 90th minute, Colombia's Abram Secada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Corrado Spitaleri. Corrado Spitaleri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-3. Corrado Spitaleri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignacio Mastache's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Borgo Doria F.C. were the better team. Borgo Doria F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
