Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Mastache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Tafalla's late challenge caught a Gallo Moron's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Txomin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saturnino Astigar's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The Gallo Moron fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 26th minute, Gallo Moron's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abram Sarmiento fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 31 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eugenio Fidensio. Axel Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 34th managed to get into a good position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 37th minute of play forced Gallo Moron's goalkeeper Eugenio Fidensio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Farias in the 38th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Gallo Moron's Kristof Homan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kristof Homan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gallo Moron protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kristof Homan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Kristof Homan hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 53rd minute of play forced Gallo Moron's goalkeeper Eugenio Fidensio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gallo Moron's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Luis Cazalla managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 65th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Indiano to maneuver through the defense. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Gallo Moron's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Mastache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After some careless play in the Gallo Moron defense, Ignacio Mastache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Fidensio. The Gallo Moron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Fidensio should have stopped the shot. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saturnino Astigar in the 81st minute. Kevin Mastache scored 4-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Fidensio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Saturnino Astigars short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Gallo Moron's Denis Txomin got a free kick in the 89th minute. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Fidensio having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Olgierd Koperski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 4-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gallo Moron players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Colombia.
