An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Brenner in the 39th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jan Lind. In the 47th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pankracy Ferfecki in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Brenner in the 54th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Tim Brenner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Lind, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenny Ugla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Tim Brenner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PacMan SugarEaters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Kenny Ugla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Pankracy Ferfecki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. PacMan SugarEaters had played much better football throughout.
