Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Wolverhampton's Sotiris Koupepes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thomas Runeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thomas Runeberg was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After 9 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Thomas Runeberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Wolverhampton's Thomas Runeberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Åke Söderqwist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Edmund Almkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Thomas Runeberg in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Wolverhampton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Almkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Runeberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Sotiris Koupepes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After 87 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Runeberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotiris Koupepes, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Wolverhampton getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Boruc Domarecki hit a great ball. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
