Ramiro Gabrio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. La Candela FC's Ramiro Gabrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 30th minute of play. After 31 minutes La Candela FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Valtteri Snellman got a free kick in the 36th minute. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Lluterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, La Candela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Ramiro Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Peru were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silverio Lluterio was the one to do the kick off. La Candela FC's Guaberto Bitxintxo was substituted for Gonzalo Soin. La Candela FC's Damian Servando was substituted for Silverio Lluterio. In the 82nd match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Mendoza to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo.
