Jaime Pardo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ivar Pihlwall 8 minutes into the match. A hard shot 11 in the game by Jaime Pardo from a close distance when the talented Ivar Pihlwall managed to make a qualified save. Lobster if's players were relieved. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Xavier Zoido hit a great ball. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ivar Pihlwall made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Covarrubias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivar Pihlwall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the game, Torgny Skoglund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lobster if's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. After 18 played minutes Lobster if got a freekick which was hit by Torgny Skoglund. 21 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivar Pihlwall, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivar Pihlwall, 4-0. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. Torgny Skoglund kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Lobster if defense, Hector Covarrubias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivar Pihlwall. The Lobster if fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivar Pihlwall should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. Alan Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lobster if's Ivar Pihlwall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Paraguay fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ivar Pihlwall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. Ivar Pihlwall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lobster if's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivar Pihlwall came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 71st minute of the match Torgny Skoglund completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Torgny Skoglund a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Lobster if was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgny Skoglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ivar Pihlwall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Lobster if got a freekick which was hit by Ove Alin. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. After 90 minutes, Jaime Pardo made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Lobster if's Ivar Pihlwall tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
