The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jesus Dolfo was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gunnar Abrahamsson in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute Gunnar Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Jan Hermansson missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 22 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Benito Sanz right hand side. 25 minutes into the game, Dåsens IF's Gunnar Abrahamsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Dolfo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jesus Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Dåsens IF's Per-Åke Aronsson made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jesus Dolfo came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Axel Tasis. But to his dismay, Axel Tasis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 66th minute Ulrik Nordlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. After 68 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. 70 minutes into the match, Gunnar Abrahamsson notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jesus Dolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 76th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. After 83 minutes of play, Dåsens IF's Gunnar Abrahamsson made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Dåsens IF's Gunnar Abrahamsson. But to his dismay, Gunnar Abrahamsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Dåsens IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
