Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Marin Ciprian started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Alianza FC's zone, Luz Tejedor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orkatz Remolino came out of the goal and Luz Tejedor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alianza FC's Marin Ciprian slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 21st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orkatz Remolino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Alianza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Orkatz Remolino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Alianza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Orkatz Remolino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Marin Ciprian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marin Ciprian in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Júnior Arruda in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Alianza FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peru:s goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Luz Tejedor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Orkatz Remolino. The goal made the score 1-1. After having played for 64 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orkatz Remolino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Moises Gayoso in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Alianza FC's Reno Chavarria. Orkatz Remolino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Domingues in the 82nd minute of the match. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 88 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Orkatz Remolino. 93 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orkatz Remolino. Alianza FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Gallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
