Edmundo Espiga made the kick off and thus started the match. S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Tafalla in the 6th minute of play. Elano Reis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Honduras booed when S.C. Reis United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Moises Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Paulo Urbano. S.C. Reis United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Paulo Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Trancoso in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano. João Paulo Urbano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute, Luisinho Trancoso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 1-2. João Paulo Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 34th minute of the match. Clóvis Nunes made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Elano Reis. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Clóvis Nunes in the 41 minute of the game. After 41 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes in the game Paulo Renato Trevisan did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Clóvis Nunes. Sebastian Villa hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elano Reis was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Amadeu Negri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Elano Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elano Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, S.C. Reis United's Elano Reis got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Esteban Carvallo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Honduras protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Esteban Carvallo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.C. Reis United:s goal. Paulo Renato Trevisan made in the 65th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Clóvis Nunes however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Trancoso in the 66th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Elano Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Reis United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Moises Tafalla was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Honduras's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Urbano having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. Emanuel Ocampo charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Ocampo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 82 minutes into the match, S.C. Reis United's Elano Reis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Henrique Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Renato Trevisan made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Clóvis Nunes however managed to control. After 93 played minutes S.C. Reis United got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Trancoso. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Reis in the 95th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Honduras's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Honduras may have spent more time on the ball, but S.C. Reis United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
