If Abram Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Åke Dahlqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Carballar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Wetterqvist Boys BK's Östen Holmberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Östen Holmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Åke Dahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils-Åke Dahlqvist. Nils-Åke Dahlqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 31st minute Timmy Bergfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Östen Holmberg struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wetterqvist Boys BK. After having played for 40 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abram Sarmiento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Östen Holmberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Nils-Åke Dahlqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Wetterqvist Boys BK's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Nils-Åke Dahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Timmy Bergfeldt notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gustaf Snell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timmy Bergfeldt couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Timmy Bergfeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmy Bergfeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 92nd minute of play forced Wetterqvist Boys BK's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Dahlqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Östen Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
