The throw-in from Arnold Butter in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. The corner led Ronnys Lärjungar's Patrik Ahlrot to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 36th minute of play forced Ronnys Lärjungar's goalkeeper Edvin Bruhn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edvin Bruhn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ronnys Lärjungar.
