Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Nistor Anton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 5 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Radovan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Cătălin Trică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Purcaresti CSS's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cătălin Trică came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Iustin Radovan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iustin Radovan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Purcaresti CSS's Iustin Radovan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 32nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ioan Bornescu struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purcaresti CSS. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Anton got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cătălin Trică took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdinand Arghiroiu during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Arghiroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Purcaresti CSS getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ferdinand Arghiroiu hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Nistor Anton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Zamfirescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cătălin Trică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 minutes, Andrei Dumitrache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Purcaresti CSS and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrei Dumitrache to maneuver through the defense. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Iustin Radovan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cătălin Trică having to make a save. Purcaresti CSS's Cătălin Trică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of play. Cătălin Trică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of play. Nistor Anton scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cătălin Trică, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Șerbulea in the 90th minute of the match. Cătălin Trică made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 91st minute of play. Nistor Anton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. There was no doubt that Purcaresti CSS were the better team. Purcaresti CSS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
