The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes AC Sarsaparilla got a freekick which was hit by Edvard Laakkonen. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Sarsaparilla's Joonatan Huttunen. But to his dismay, Joonatan Huttunen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Taavi Hulkkonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taavi Hulkkonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Joonatan Huttunen made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, Facundo Cadaval notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of AC Sarsaparilla's Taavi Hulkkonen. Taavi Hulkkonen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Sarsaparilla's goalkeeper Taavi Hulkkonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Esa Joenväärä sent off a good shot on target. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Heimo Heliskoski charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heimo Heliskoski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, AC Sarsaparilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heimo Heliskoski to maneuver through the defense.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Tafalla could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Taavi Hulkkonen however easily saved by the left post. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heimo Heliskoski in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heimo Heliskoski in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esa Joenväärä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AC Sarsaparilla's Taavi Hulkkonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save AC Sarsaparilla from getting a goal against them. After 60 minutes, Esa Joenväärä mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Sarsaparilla and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Esa Joenväärä hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Taavi Hulkkonen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edvard Laakkonen hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Taavi Hulkkonen made a huge save. In the 73rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. AC Sarsaparilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Taavi Hulkkonen quite easily take care of the ball. 74 minutes into the match, AC Sarsaparilla's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Taavi Hulkkonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taavi Hulkkonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 85th minute, Heimo Heliskoski made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Taavi Hulkkonen was a little too slow when Lautaro Mancebo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 3-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, AC Sarsaparilla could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
