Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Marcin Baszczyński managed to get in a good position for a shot. ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Marcin Baszczyński was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saturnino Nafarroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Saturnino Nafarroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. When Alvise Di Crescenzo came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvise Di Crescenzo couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvise Di Crescenzo's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Alvise Di Crescenzo took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Tomasz Fosaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Alvise Di Crescenzo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ★Stadion Śląski Chorzów★™ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
