An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Valle in the 16th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cristo Cordara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Royal Knights FC's Cristo Cordara. Cristo Cordara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 28 minutes, Rigoberto Mina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Royal Knights FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Rigoberto Mina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! The Royal Knights FC fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Royal Knights FC's Hudson Pires looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Valle came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Royal Knights FC defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristo Cordara. The Royal Knights FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristo Cordara should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Cordara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Cordara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Cordara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manu Smets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Royal Knights FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Salandri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manu Smets in the 92nd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Royal Knights FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
