Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jakub Wejta made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Xzavaier Taboada. 8 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Urizar came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jorge Urizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute of the game Jakub Wejta made a throw-in which Xzavaier Taboada played forward. In the 16th minute, Fabian Baldaliso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 19 minutes, Salvador Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Independiente del Río players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Machado Santianes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a Independiente del Río's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. In the 45th minute of the match Emanuel Sueiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Emanuel Sueiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute, Jakub Wejta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente del Río's Yin Cheng Han was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Urizar in the 66th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Sueiro in the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Machado Santianes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Machado Santianes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Jakub Wejta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes Independiente del Río got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Sueiro. 82 minutes into the game, Machado Santianes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Machado Santianes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Sueiro in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Sarratea in the 92nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 95th minute of play forced Independiente del Río's goalkeeper Yin Cheng Han to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente del Río played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
