After 5 played minutes Kumla BK got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Ahlqvist. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Hellqvist having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Per Forss got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Kumla BK's Felix Sundberg got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th match minute, Kumla BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. Fred Hellqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Kumla BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fred Hellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho managed to work through Kumla BK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
