Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gianluigi Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gianluigi Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gianluigi Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 25 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 29 in the game by Argir Goshev from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. In the 30th minute, FC Aytos's Argir Goshev ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a rather tough play, FC Aytos's Yani Hikov got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when FC Aytos's Argir Goshev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 46 minutes into the game, Eduard Helbling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Aytos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Daniel Zorita walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Argir Goshev's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argir Goshev in the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Paulinho Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Aytos's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argir Goshev in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gianluigi Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute Argir Goshev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, FC Aytos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Gianluigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gianluigi Buffon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Argir Goshev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. A collision led to FC Aytos getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Yani Hikov hit a great ball. Gianluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of play. Gianluigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 89thth minute of the game Argir Goshev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gianluigi Buffon having to interfere. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
