Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Rossi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hoàng Thuy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hoàng Thuy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th match minute, Uno Mille FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Möckli to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Hoàng Thuy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Fernando Alvarenga. Uno Mille FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Rosa in the 38th minute of play. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a Uno Mille FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Chicote helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense.
