Alessandro Del Bello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 15th minute of the match. Alessandro Del Bello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ribera's Hans Wery got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Arixo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Dalmacio Arixo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmondo Braccia in the 24th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Wery got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alessandro Del Bello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Baltasar Pio kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Del Bello having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ibrahim Türker, made in the 54th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 56th minute of play forced Ribera's goalkeeper Alessandro Del Bello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Alessandro Del Bello made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Hans Wery managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ribera's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Wery was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Alessandro Del Bello in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Ribera getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cosimo Onori hit a great ball. Alessandro Del Bello was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jaime Cazalla. After a rather tough play, Ribera's Amerigo Bolli got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Del Bello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Ribera's goalkeeper Alessandro Del Bello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camilo Franco. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Uruguay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Angelo Cavanna was slow to take the kick. During this time Ribera's players had a chance to rest. Edmondo Braccia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere.
