Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrik Ingemarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenneth McKinnell went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrik Ingemarsson. Catholic Church's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Kenneth McKinnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Henry Kristiansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Henry Kristiansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Salvador Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Catholic Church players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. In the 33rd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Henry Kristiansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Henrik Ingemarsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenneth McKinnell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Kenneth McKinnell put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 57 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth McKinnell came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Catholic Church's Henrik Ingemarsson got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Catholic Church's Henrik Ingemarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timur Malyugin during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Catholic Church was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timur Malyugin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrik Ingemarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 68th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Kenneth McKinnell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Kristiansson in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth McKinnell, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Henrik Ingemarsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kenneth McKinnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 96th minute of the game Nick Nick made a throw-in which Henry Kristiansson played forward. Catholic Church's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
