Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Torres in the 45th minute of the match. After 47 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel de Amaral who took care of the corner kick. The corner led YESHUA F.C's Joel de Amaral to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Torres was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Cristos Contreras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristos Contreras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute.
