An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 5th minute of play forced Enex's goalkeeper Varban Gugovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes, Silvinho Fernandes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Enex and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Enex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Enex's Marko Hökkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute Enex were awarded a corner. Yoncho Prelkov went to the cornerflag to take it. Enex's Yoncho Prelkov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Varban Gugovski having to make a save. A collision led to Enex getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Milko Momin hit a great ball. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Enex fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Enex's Marko Hökkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 27th minute, Marko Hökkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. Marko Hökkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Enex:s goal. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Enex. Marko Hökkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. 3-0. Enex's Marko Hökkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Enex's Marko Hökkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Varban Gugovski in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marko Hökkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Hökkvist in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Varban Gugovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Marko Hökkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Hökkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Enex were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yoncho Prelkov took the corner. Enex were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Uruguay for a fine match.
