Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute of play forced De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heiko Som. Heiko Som dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 21 minutes, Kevin Newman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Ontembare Leeuwen and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, De Ontembare Leeuwen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Newman to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heiko Som was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Heiko Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Heiko Som despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Heiko Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The supporters of De Ontembare Leeuwen booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ivan Chabanenko fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Ontembare Leeuwen's protests and gave Ivan Chabanenko a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when De Ontembare Leeuwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Chabanenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Newman in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 62 minutes into the game, Ernest Kleinman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Heiko Som was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 68th minute. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som did a great save. After 72 minutes of play, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Jacco Hoving made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Kleinman came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goalkeeper Heiko Som had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Newman in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 85th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Kevin Newman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Kevin Newman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
