Ricardo Zorita didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Waterhoek's Daniel Elsens shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 29th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moises Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Elsens in the 92nd minute of play. Waterhoek succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though El Salvador had controlled the match.
